Jungbunzlauer Suisse AG Trimagnesium Citrate

Function: Supplement, Mineral, Micronutrient, Fertilizers, Desiccant
CAS Number: 3344-18-1

Jungbunzlauer Suisse AG Trimagnesium Citrate meets the requirements of the US Pharmacopeia (USP) and/or the European Pharmacopeia (Ph.Eur.) always in their latest versions.Trimagnesium Citrates are produced by complete neutralization of citric acid with a high purity magnesium source, subsequent precipitation and dehydration. The two commonly available forms are trimagnesium citrate anhydrous and trimagnesium citrate nonahydrate. In some countries such as USA, trimagnesium citrate is simply denominated magnesium citrate. Trimagnesium citrate is mainly used as mineral source in food supplements, foods for particular nutritional purposes, and pharmaceutical preparations. Comparable to other magnesium salts, it shows a laxative effect at higher dosage levels. An agglomerated trimagnesium citrate anhydrous is available for direct compression of tablets. Being an excellent desiccant, it is commonly used to stabilize dry blends and to protect water sensitive ingredients. Magnesium citrates are organic mineral sources and are preferred in many applications to inorganic sources because of their superior bioavailability and physiological compatibility. Trimagnesium citrate anhydrous has the highest magnesium content (16%) among the organic magnesium sources commonly used, the magnesium content of the nonahydrate is 12%. Trimagnesium citrate is supplied as a white to almost white powder. It is practically odorless, soluble in water, freely soluble in diluted acid and practically insoluble in ethanol (96%). generally, hydrated forms of trimagnesium citrates are less soluble than the anhydrous type.granulation types are available as Powder and TMC GN.

Jungbunzlauer Suisse AG Calcium Lactate Gluconate

Function: Mineral, Supplement

Jungbunzlauer Suisse AG Calcium Lactate Gluconate meets the requirements for calcium lactate and calcium gluconate of the US Pharmacopeia (USP), the Food Chemicals Codex (FCC) and the Commission Regulation (EU) No. 231/2012, always in their latest version.Besides calcium lactate gluconate 13 with a calcium content of 13%, Jungbunzlauer also supplies calcium lactate gluconate with similar properties and 10% calcium (type CLG 10).Calcium lactate gluconate (CLG) is a mixture of calcium lactate and calcium gluconate. In pharmaceuticals, it is widely used as a pharmaceutical calcium source with excellent bioavailability. In food and beverages, the outstanding characteristics of calcium lactate gluconate combining high solubility and neutral taste lead to new applications in a wide range of premium products. Calcium lactate gluconate is a white, crystalline, odorless, tasteless powder. It is non-toxic and has physiologically excellent compatibility. Calcium lactate gluconate displays high bioavailability, neutral taste and is highly soluble. It is used as a premium calcium source in pharmaceuticals. Scientific reviews of human studies revealed that calcium lactate gluconate was both significantly and more consistently able to increase bone mineral density than other calcium salts. In food, it is particularly found in beverages and other applications where solubility is a sensitive matter, e.g. clear beverages and concentrated or instant preparations as well as for processing at low temperatures and in line blending. Calcium lactate gluconate shows the highest solubility among the calcium salts commonly used for mineral enrichment, with a initial solubility of 20-40%.

Jungbunzlauer Suisse AG Trisodium Citrate Anhydrous

Function: Supplement, Emulsifier, Mineral, Desiccant, Chelating Agent, Buffering Agent, Stabilizer
CAS Number: 68-04-2
Synonyms: Trisodium Citrate, Trisodium Citrate

Jungbunzlauer Suisse AG Trisodium Citrate Anhydrous is supplied in accordance with the current requirements of the United States Pharmacopeia (USP), the Food Chemicals Codex (FCC), and the Commission Regulation (EU) No. 231/2012. It is produced by complete neutralization of citric acid with high purity sodium hydroxide or carbonate and subsequent crystallization and dehydration. The common hydrate form, trisodium citrate dihydrate, is widely used in foods, beverages and various technical applications mainly as buffering, sequestering or emulsifying agent. Jungbunzlauer trisodium citrate anhydrous is manufactured from trisodium citrate dihydrate. Water molecules of the dihydrate crystals are removed by a patented process without destroying the original crystal matrix. The resulting crystals have a porous matrix that can be used as a carrier for inorganic and/or organic substances like perfumes and surfactants. Due to its low water content trisodium citrate anhydrous does not add water to the formulation. It has even the excellent ability to take up surplus water from moisture sensitive formulations thus providing better shelf life to the end product. Therefore, trisodium citrate anhydrous finds its particular uses in water sensitive formulations like instant drinks as well as tablets and powders in pharmaceuticals and detergents. Trisodium citrate anhydrous occurs as white, granular crystals or as white, crystalline powder. It is freely soluble in water and practically insoluble in ethanol (96 %). It is a non-toxic, neutral salt with low reactivity. It is chemically stable if stored at ambient temperatures. Trisodium citrate anhydrous is fully biodegradable and can be disposed of with regular waste or sewage.
