Chemceed Polyalphaolefin 40 (PAO 40)
End Uses: Compressor Oils, Circulating Oils, Turbine Oils
Fluids & Lubricants Type: Turbine & Compressor Fluids & Oils, Industrial Oils & Fluids, Greases
Chemical Family: Polyalphaolefins (PAO)
Polyalphaolefin 40 (PAO 40) serves as a Group IV base stocks and viscosity builders for a wide range of industrial lubricant products. Applications for PAO 40 base stocks include both automotive and industrial gear oils, bearing lubricants, transmission fluids, turbine oils, compressor oils, circulating oils, hydraulic oils, grease, and other synthetic lubricant oils. PAO 40 gives superior performance in high temperature protection and low temperature fluidity with a high viscosity index (VI). It also has excellent shear stability, low volatility, and excellent resistance to oxidation. These properties make PAO 40 well suited for applications that are subjected to extreme operating conditions, such as cold weather start-ups or high operating temperatures. PAO 40 is colorless, odorless, non-toxic and non-corrosive and do not contain sulfur, nitrogen, or aromatics. PAO 40 can be blended with other synthetic base stocks and are compatible with synthetic esters and alkylated naphthalene.
