Kamicryl 5360 is an acid containing Polyurethane crosslinked Acrylic emulsion copolymer, which when neutralized with a suitable base forms a highly viscous and very efficient thickening medium for a vast range of water based coatings. Kamicryl-5360 being a polyacrylic thickner gives superior performance than conventional thickners like CMS, HEC. Storage stability of paint with Kamicryl-5360 is much superior than with CMS or HEC. If the system contains enough free alkalinity to neutralize Kamicryl-5360 then “Insitu” solubilization and thickening takes place. If no free alkalinity is present then alkali can be added to the system containing Kamicryl-5360 and “in-situ” thickening will occur. Kamicryl-5360 fully neutralizes at a pH approximately 8.0.

raybo 6 AntiSag has the superior wetting properties that makes it well suited for use in a wide range of products. It exhibits a range of system compatibility not shared with other materials used for sag control. Puffing agents generally used for sag control can produce viscosity increases in the paint system. RAYBO 6 produces sag and settling control by improved wetting and dispersion rather than by viscosity increase, even with post addition. In controlling settling, RAYBO 6 will not produce side effects such as loss of adhesion, film softening, or reduced gloss associated with the use of anti-settling agents such as stearates, palmitates, and clays. When used as a dispersant, the high wetting capability of RAYBO 6 is particularly effective with difficult to wet pigments such as carbon black and phthalocyanine blue. It is also very effective in dispersing puffy pastes. In high solids systems using high shear for dispersion, RAYBO 6 will produce increased color intensity, fineness of dispersion and decreased dispersion time.

If using the medium to high polarity solvent such as the xylene, xylene-esters (e.g. butyl acetate), or xylene-ketone (e.g. acetone), the HFGEL-120-B can be added as a dry powder for in-situ dispersion and activation without the addition of activator. If using the low polarity solvent such as 200# solvent or white oil, the HFGEL-120-B needs the help of activator for fully dispersion and activation. The activator can be 95% alcohol, typical levels range between 30-40% activator based on organic bentonite weight. The performance of HFGEL-120-B is similar to Bentone SD-1, Claytone AF, Tixogel-MP100.
