VISIOMER® Terra C17,4-MA (methacrylic ester 17.4) is a methacrylate monomer with a long alkyl chain, resulting in a low glass transition temperature (Tg). This monomer is commonly used to enhance the hydrophobicity of resins, making them more resistant to water and other polar substances. In addition to its role as a hydrophobicity enhancer, VISIOMER® Terra C17,4-MA is also employed as a flexibilizer and internal plasticizer in coatings and reactive resins applications. By incorporating this monomer into formulations, manufacturers can achieve improved flexibility and enhanced performance of their coatings and reactive resins.

Santicizer® 278 is a fast fusing, benzyl phthalate plasticizer designed for use in multiple polymer systems and applications. This plasticizer is a high molecular weight alkyl benzyl phthalate that has compatibility in many polymer types, particularly in PVC. Santicizer® 278 is extremely permanent. It resists exudation and extraction and has very low volatility. Additionally, Santicizer® 278 has shown sound dampening benefits, and has benefits in wet applications of paint.

Santicizer® 154 is a liquid, non-halogen, triaryl phosphate ester fire retardant plasticizer used in multiple polymer systems. This plasticizer is similar to tricresyl phosphate in performance properties, but without the neuro-toxicity associated with ortho-cresol materials. Mosselman Castor Oil Blown 30 P (68187-84-8) is a polymerized vegetable oil obtained by oxidation of castor oil. This oil finds use as a plasticizer in varnishes. Further in hydraulic oils and as a component in polyurethane systems.

Mosselman Castor Oil Hydrogenated (8001-78-3) is a white, odorless fat obtained by the hydrogenation of castor oil. It has very good compatibility with natural waxes. It is mostly used in the manufacture of calcium and lithium lubricating greases. These lubricating greases exhibit excellent resistance to oils and fats, water and solvents. It is also used as raw materi-al for solvent based coating systems, for alkyd resins and as processing aid for phenolic resins, poly-ethylene, PVC and rubber and as an additive in powder coatings. It is also of importance concerning the production of hot melts like paper additives. Finally it can be used as an ingredient in polishes (for cars, shoes, furniture) and in cosmetics (for creams, lipsticks,…).

POLYCHEM® 4773-BA-70 is a short oil coconut alkyd with very low color (200 APHA color). It can be formulated for use in a low VOC baking vehicle in combination with aminoplast resins or as a plasticizer for nitrocellulose lacquers. It has excellent durability and gloss retention compared to conventional resin.

POLYCHEM® G801-238-X-66 is a glyptal short oil non-drying alkyd. It has excellent compatibility and adequate hardness. It also has very high color retention and good flexibility. It is specifically designed for baking enamels and serves as an effective plasticizer for nitrocellulose lacquers.
