XIAMETER(TM) PMX-200 Silicone Fluid 500,000 cSt is a high-viscosity polydimethylsiloxane polymer that is primarily used for foam control in nonaqueous processes. In petroleum processing, it provides effective foam control at extremely low dosage levels. This product is also suitable for use in personal care applications. The high-molecular-weight dimethicone provides easy combing and detangling for wet or dry hair and adds softness, smoothness, and gloss.

DOWSIL(TM) EL-9048 Silicone Elastomer Blend is a mixture of crosslinked silicone elastomer in cyclopentasiloxane. It provides dry smoothness, quick absorption, and a light silky feel on the skin. This elastomer blend has been designed to not give a balling effect when rubbed on the skin. DOWSIL™ 9045 Silicone Elastomer Blend can also be used as a thickening agent in water-in-oil and water-in-silicone formulations.

DOWSIL(TM)  2511 Cosmetic Wax is a water dispersible silicone glycol copolymer wax with a low melting point and is a water soluble, skin temperature melting wax for increased moisturization and humectancy. It is helpful to add this product into the water phase, where it will disperse with proper mixing, either cold or with heat.

XIAMETER(TM) PMX-200 Silicone Fluid 12,500 cSt is a high-viscosity polydimethylsiloxane polymer manufactured to yield essentially linear polymers in a wide range of viscosities. The viscosities generally used in formulating polishes are in the range of 100 to 30,000 cSt. It is preferable to use a blend of a low-viscosity fluid and a high-viscosity fluid (e.g. 3 parts XIAMETER(TM) PMX- 200 Silicone Fluid 100 cSt and 1 part XIAMETER(TM) PMX-200 Silicone Fluid 12,500 cSt) to obtain optimum results in terms of ease of application and depth of gloss. The low-viscosity silicone fluid acts as a lubricant to make polish application and rubout easier, whereas the high-viscosity silicone fluid produces a greater depth of gloss. Since these polymers are inherently water-repellent, they will cause water to bead up on a treated surface rather than penetrate the polish film.
