D.E.R.354 Liquid Epoxy Resin is a standard liquid epoxy resin based on the reaction products of bisphenol F and epichlorohydrin. D.E.R. 354 Liquid Epoxy Resin is an unmodified bisphenol F based liquid, low viscosity epoxy resin. It is compatible with common epoxy resins and can be blended with them in any ratio. It achieves a high degree of cure at ambient temperatures, providing improved resistance performance against solvents compared to standard bisphenol A liquid epoxy resins. D.E.R. 354 Epoxy Resin may be used alone but is more frequently used in combination with standard bisphenol A liquid epoxy resins such as D.E.R. 330 Resin or D.E.R.TM 331TM Resin. By using suitable combinations of bisphenol A and bisphenol F epoxy resins, not only is the viscosity reduced but the tendency to crystallize is almost eliminated. See the Dow technical bulletin, Crystallization of Liquid Epoxy Resins, Form No. 296-01652. A wide variety of curing agents is available to cure this resin at ambient conditions. Most frequently used are aliphatic polyamines, polyamides and modified versions of these. If anhydride or catalytic curing agents are employed, elevated temperature and long-post cures are required to develop full end properties.

D.E.R. 671 Solid Epoxy Resin is a standard low molecular weight solid epoxy resin designed for use in applications where cure must be achieved at room temperature. D.E.R.671 Solid Epoxy Resin is available in flake form and generally provides the best overall balance of properties for polyamide- and polyamine-cured coatings. In addition,D.E.R. 671 Solid Epoxy Resin can also be used in powder coatings where it provides excellent flow in standard as well as in low temperature curing systems. It can be used in both epoxy and epoxy/polyester powder coatings. D.E.R. 671 Epoxy Resin is also available in various solutions, e.g. D.E.R. 671-X75 Epoxy Resin Solution in xylene (75 wt% resin). D.E.R. 671-X75 Epoxy Resin Solution, when formulated with polyamine or polyamide hardeners, forms an excellent base for many high quality chemical resistant coatings. These two-pack coating systems have applications where cure must be achieved at ambient temperature, and films must withstand exposure to corrosive atmospheres containing a variety of chemical reagents, solvents or salt water. The outstanding resistance properties, hardness, excellent adhesion to almost any substrate and flexibility are utilized in a wide variety of finishes, including marine coatings, tank-linings and industrial maintenance coatings. D.E.R. 671 Solid Epoxy Resin can also be used as complimentary resin in non-epoxy coating systems to improve resistance properties.
