Common features of Zytel® nylon resin include mechanical and physical properties such as high mechanical strength, excellent balance of stiffness and toughness, good high temperature performance, good electrical and flammability properties, good abrasion and chemical resistance. In addition, Zytel® nylon resins are available in different modified and reinforced grades to create a wide range of products with tailored properties for specific processes and end-uses. Zytel® nylon resin, including most flame retardant grades, offer the ability to be colored. The good melt stability of Zytel® nylon resin normally enables the recycling of properly handled production waste. If recycling is not possible, DuPont recommends, as the preferred option, incineration with energy recovery (-31kJ/g of base polymer) in appropriately equipped installations. For disposal, local regulations have to be observed. Zytel® nylon resin typically is used in demanding applications in the automotive, furniture, domestic appliances, sporting goods and construction industry. Gabriel Phenoxy PK™HS-30 PMA is a 30% NV solution of Phenoxy resin in PM acetate (PMA or Propylene Glycol Methyl Ether Acetate). Phenoxy resins (polyhydroxyethers) are tough, ductile, amorphous, thermoplastic polymers having excellent thermal stability, adhesive strength, and vapor barrier properties. Phenoxy resins may be crosslinked by reacting its hydroxyl functional groups with isocyanates, melamine resins, or phenolic resins. Crosslinked phenoxy resins exhibit excellent chemical resistance, hardness, and adhesion on many substrates including steel, aluminum, glass, carbon fibers, and plastics such as nylon and polyester (PET). PKHS-30 PMA can be reduced with additional PMA to attain lower viscosities; the addition of MEK will reduce viscosities at a faster rate. The addition of diluents like xylene or toluene can also be useful. Coatings of PKHS-30 PMA exhibit excellent levels of flexibility and toughness when appropriately cured.

Velsiflex 342 is one of the most popular liquid plasticizers. It is a high-solvating plasticizer containing mostly dipropylene glycol dibenzoate. It is used in a wide variety of applications, including caulk, adhesives, resilient flooring, PVC-coated fabrics and artificial-leather cloth. In PVC, it acts as a medium- viscosity high solvator that saves energy and improves process ability. Vinyl applications using Velsiflex 342 have excellent resistance to extraction from solvents and oils. It also works with vinyl to make it UV – light-degradation resistant and stain resistant.

mju:wax®2400 is a micronised amide wax compound and used as an additive in lacquers, coatings and printing inks to modify the surface properties. mju:wax®2400 improves scratch resistance and anti-blocking properties. Used as additive in wood lacquers mju:wax®2400 acts as matting agent and sanding aid. In powder coating applications mju:wax®2400 improves in several systems the de-airing properties.
