The recommended usage is 2% active based on monomers.In waterborne and solvent-borne lacquers (low PVC), Emulsogen LCN 118 can be used as a compatibilizer to improve tinting strength and to reduce rub-out, water absorption, and haze effects. Dosage recommendation (supply form) in waterborne acrylic lacquers is 1.3-1.9% and in solvent-borne alkyd lacquers 0.33-0.66%.When used during the premixing phase in the production of waterborne emulsion paints (high PVC), Emulsogen LCN 118 also acts as a processing aid and helps to reduce the grinding time by faster deagglomeration of TiO2 and fillers. This is especially of interest in areas of hard water. The general dosage recommendation (supply form) for this purpose is 0.3%.

D.E.R.T 332 Epoxy Resin is a high purity bisphenol A diglycidylether. The uniqueness of D.E.R. 332 Liquid Epoxy Resin is reflected in its maximum epoxy equivalent weight of 176 grams/equivalent (the chemically pure diglycidylether of bisphenol A has an epoxy equivalent weight of 170 g/eq). Because of its high purity and low polymer fractions content, D.E.R. 332 Epoxy Resin assures uniform performance and exceptionally low viscosity, low chloride content and light color. Under some cure conditions this epoxy resin provides improved elevated temperature properties over standard bisphenol A based epoxy resins such as D.E.R.“ 331“ Epoxy Resin for example. D.E.R. 332 Epoxy Resin is used mainly in filament winding, electrical laminates and encapsulation applications. A wide variety of curing agents is available to cure this liquid epoxy resin at ambient conditions. Most frequently used curing agents are cycloaliphatic polyamines, polyamides, amidoamines, and modified versions of these. Curing may also be done at an elevated temperature to improve selected properties such as chemical resistance and glass transition temperature. Elevated temperature cures are necessary and long post-cures are required to develop full end properties if anhydride or catalytic curing agents are employed.

D.E.R. 325 Epoxy Resin offers improved acid resistance versus standard epoxy resins such as D.E.R.™ 331™ Liquid Epoxy Resin.

D.E.R.TM 321 Liquid Epoxy Resin is a reaction product of epichlorohydrin and bisphenol A modified with an aromatic mono-functional reactive diluent. D.E.R. 321 Liquid Epoxy Resin is ortho-cresyl glycidyl ether diluted standard bisphenol A based liquid epoxy resin, of extremely low viscosity. The low viscosity is advantageous in compounds containing large amounts of filler. D.E.R. 321 Resin has a cure rate similar to unmodified bisphenol A based liquid epoxy resins. The reactive diluent contained in D.E.R. 321 Epoxy Resin limits somewhat the solvent resistance, however, an improved acid resistance can be observed using D.E.R. 321 Epoxy Resin in stead of D.E.R.TM 331 T Liquid Epoxy Resin. D.E.R. 321 Liquid Epoxy Resin exhibits a very low tendency to crystallize. D.E.R. 321 Epoxy Resin can be hot or cold cured by blending with polyamine, polyamide and modified versions of these. Elevated temperature cures are necessary and post-cures required to develop full end properties if anhydride or catalytic curing agents are employed.

D.E.R.™ 353 Liquid Epoxy Resin is a mono-functional reactive diluent modified liquid epoxy resin. D.E.R. 353 Epoxy Resin is a C12-C14 aliphatic glycidyl ether modified bisphenol A/F based epoxy resin of low viscosity. The performance of D.E.R. 353 Liquid Epoxy Resin in ambient curing coating/flooring formulations is similar to that obtained with D.E.R. 324 Epoxy Resin. The tendency for D.E.R. 353 Epoxy Resin to crystallize, however, is much lower than for D.E.R. 324 Epoxy Resin. The enhanced crystallization resistance caused by the bisphenol A/F epoxy resin blend greatly improves the formulation stability, reduces the handling costs, and makes emptying drums easier. See the Dow technical bulletin, Crystallization of Liquid Epoxy Resins, Form No. 296-01652. The reactive diluent contained in D.E.R. 353 Epoxy Resin lowers both the viscosity and the surface tension of the resin compound which results in excellent surface wetting and adhesion. Moreover, the reactive diluent used in this resin formulation increases pot life as well as flexibility (impact resistance). Although the diluent reduces the solvent resistance somewhat versus regular unmodified bisphenol A epoxy resins, such as D.E.R.T 331Epoxy Resin, it improves the acid resistance. Compared to other C12-C14 aliphatic glycidyl ether modified epoxy resins such as D.E.R. 324 Epoxy Resin, an improved resistance against solvent has been demonstrated.

Genagen COA is a non-VOC coalescing agent for decorative coatings.Many additives contain volatile organic compounds (VOC) that evaporate and degrade the environment, which are harmful for humans. The general dosage (supply form) is 1.0-1.5% in emulsion paints and in acrylic lacquers, and 0.25% in alkyd lacquers.The additive can also be used as a dispersing agent in water-based pigment preparations, suitable for organic pigments and carbon blacks. Emulsogen TS 200 is recommended for POS-colorants as well as for concentrates for in-plant tinting. The general dosage recommendation is 5-30% on organic pigments and 20-40% on carbon black.Furthermore, Emulsogen TS 200 acts as a nonionic emulsifier for the emulsion polymerization of monomers like acrylates, styrene-acrylates, and vinyl acetate.

Its chemical structure enables CoatOSil™ DRI waterborne silicone resin to overcome the difficulties of combining silicone materials with organic waterborne resins. CoatOSil™ DRI waterborne silicone resin has been shown to improve hydrophobicity and elongation properties when used as a co-binder with acrylic latexes, resulting in more flexible coatings and sealants. CoatOSil™ DRI waterborne silicone resin can also be considered as a sole binder when maximum thermal and UV stability is a priority. When applied alone, CoatOSil™ DRI waterborne silicone resin cures at room temperature to form an elastomeric film.

Nipacide CFX is an in-can biocide based on formaldehyde + chloromethyl and methylisothiazolinone. Nipacide CFX is water based low toxicity isothiazolinone/ formaldehyde donor biocide, developed for the complete in-can and head space protection of water based products. Nipacide CFX is effective against a wide range of microorganisms including gram positive and gram negative bacteria, yeast and fungi. When products are prone to surface contamination by fungi and head space protection is required, Nipacide CFX should be the biocide of choice. Nipacide CFX is effective against a wide range of spoilage organisms effective over a wide pH and temperature range.
