HALOX® 570 LS is a ready-to-use liquid version of our popular organic corrosion inhibitor, HALOX® 570, which requires no dilution. It is designed for use in water-based industrial and decorative coatings to provide flash rust and long-term corrosion protection on metal surfaces. It is especially effective along weld seams to prevent galvanic corrosion. HALOX® 570 LS may be used in formulations based on water-based acrylics, epoxy esters, 2-component epoxy, water-reducible alkyds, and water-based polyurethanes. HALOX® 570 LS may be used in both water-based primers and direct-to-metal topcoats. In direct-to-metal coatings, HALOX® 570 LS has a minimal effect on gloss reduction.

HALOX® 570 is an organic corrosion inhibitor designed for use in waterborne industrial and decorative coatings to provide flash rust and long-term corrosion protection on metal surfaces. HALOX® 570 is especially effective along weld seams and, in some cases, can also be used in solvent-based coatings and UV-cured systems. HALOX® 570 may be used in formulations based on waterborne acrylic latexes and co-polymers, styrene/acrylic latexes, acrylate epoxy esters, 2-pack epoxy systems, alkyds, alkyd/acrylic blends, and 1 or 2-pack polyurethane. HALOX® 550 WF is a water-free (WF) corrosion inhibitor and adhesion promoter that uses a sol-gel-based formula. It is designed to protect a variety of coatings, including waterborne and solventborne clear coats, glossy direct-to-metal coatings, thin-film coatings, acrylic emulsions, polyurethanes, epoxies, alkyds, water-reducible alkyds, PVB wash primers, and polyester resins. It is recommended for use in a wide variety of resin systems and is equally effective in such resins as alkyds (both traditional and high solids), epoxies, latexes, water-reducible alkyds, high acid value resins, catalyzed baking systems, and vinylidene chloride latexes.
