Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials is considered the world market leader in the production of classic glass-mat-reinforced thermoplastics (GMT). This semi-finished product in panel form was developed primarily as a substitute for metals (steel, aluminum etc.) and its main purchasers can be found in the automotive industry. This is where it is frequently pressed on the industrial scale into complex 3D structural components, although it is also used as panels.

NEXIPAL® is a versatile EAP (Electroactive Polymer) laminate designed for actuators and capacitive sensors. It is composed of one or multiple ultrathin silicone layers, known as ELASTOSIL® Film, which have a thickness ranging from 20 to 400 µm. These silicone layers are coated with specialized electrodes, laminated together, and then precisely cut into the desired shape. Multiple layers can be stacked on top of each other to achieve the desired performance.

The OS-6 series are nylon 6 thermoplastic organosheets that contain woven fabrics as heavy as 2,500 g/m2. The composite sheets characterized by high strength and stiffness."

BR70 is a red colored composite made from a 24 oz/sq. yd canvas which is passed through the treater twice to insure impregnation of the fibers and to obtain the resin content desired for optimal performance. The resin system is a phenolic with good impregnation qualities and cured hardness. BR70 is designed for highly loaded bearing applications, where the lubrication is provided by oil, water or a mixture.

NP613 is constructed from electrical grade of kraft paper and a specially modified epoxy resin system. It is designed to be used in tap changers, coil support plates and terminal panels for transformers and their accessories.

Plenco® 02369 is a general purpose, organic filled phenolic molding compound, formulated to minimize the generation of free ammonia for applications that are sensitive to such formation. Plenco® 05482 is an organic reinforced phenolic molding compound formulated with graphite to improve the abrasion resistance. 05482 is available in black and brown. 05482 is not recommended for electrical insulating applications.

Plenco® 08218 is an 18% glass-filled polyester bulk molding compound characterized as an electrical grade, but has many outstanding properties that make it suitable for a broad range of applications because of its excellent electrical resistance and mechanical strength. Customers have found this material useful for commercial/industrial heavy duty electrical parts, enclosures for power distribution equipment, fuse holders, circuit breaker cases, electric motor housings and components. It is available in bulk or extruded form and colors upon request. It is UL recognized under file E40654.

Cuyahoga Plastics EB3000-2 is A U.L recognized, flame retardant, mineral-filled, glass fiber reinforced polyester thermoset molding compound suitable for compression, transfer, and injection molding. It is currently supplied in bulk form, cut preforms and box length extrusions.

Plenco® 01581 is a glass and mineral-reinforced pelletized polyester molding compound, exhibiting excellent dimensional stability, mechanical strength and also arc resistance, track resistance, and flammability ratings. UL recognized under component file E40654. 01581 is available in black and gray colors.

Plenco® 07070 is a cotton flock and mineral filled resole phenolic molding compound, offering improved impact strength properties. 07070 is available in black.

Plenco® 03554 is an organic reinforced phenolic molding compound modified with PTFE to offer improved coefficient of friction values. 03554 is available in black. It is UL listed. 03554 is a re-number of 06554 formulation.

Plenco® 03509 is a mineral and flock filled phenolic molding compound offering excellent electrical properties, dimensional stability, and improved heat resistance. UL recognized under component file E40654. 03509 is available in black or brown.

A paper-base laminate with low phenolic resin content for hard, flat surfaces. This material is normally used in the printed circuit board industry as a backup for the drilling operation. However, it is also used in other industries for tooling stock because of its ease of machining and good dimensional stability.

Room temperature punching and shearing grade up to 0.125″ thick. NP615 is more flexible with lower mechanical properties than NP611. NP615 is produced with high resin content melamine impregnated surfaces to give the resulting laminate better arc resistance. Intended for applications where electrical and moisture requirements are secondary.

Plenco® 06301 is an inorganic reinforced phenolic molding compound, offering excellent heat resistance, dimensional stability, and processability. Customers have found this material useful for automotive applications. It is not intended for electrical insulating applications. 06301 is available in black.

Plenco® 02535 is a general purpose, organic filled phenolic molding compound offering optimized cure characteristics and excellent electrical properties. UL recognized under component file E40654. 02535 is available in black. 02535 was qualified under military specification MIL-M-14 (superseded by ASTM D-5948) TYPE CFG and batches can, if requested and paid for, be tested for certification to the standard.

ES1 is a melamine laminate composed of a white melamine paper core and various pigmented cover sheets. The three-ply material comes in a standard sheet size of 36 inches ± 1.00 x 39 inches ± 1.00, with standard thicknesses of 1/16, 3/32, and 1/8 inch. Standard finish options are polished, or P (highly polished and shiny), and Lamicoid satin, or LS (non-brushed and dull).

ES4 is composed of layers of a pigmented paper melamine resin inner cores and white, black, or colored cover sheets. The main difference between this product and ES-1 is that the ES-4 core is colored rather than white. The material comes in a standard sheet size of 36 inches ± 1.00 x 39 inches ± 1.00, with standard thicknesses of 1/16, 3/32, and 1/8 inch.
