3B Fibreglass DS 2200-13P

3B Fiberglass DS 2200-13P is a 13 μm filament dia-meter, 4 mm long chopped glass fiber designed for production of Polyolefin compounds.DS 2200-13P shows outstanding compatibility with Polypropylene. This is the material of choice for very high glass content (up to 50 %wt) compound grades that require good fiber dispersion as well as mechanical properties. DS 2200-13P is also desig-ned for parts weathering in prolonged contact with water, detergents and glycol. DS 2200-13P can also be used in applications complying with strin-gent requirements of food contact and drinkable water standards EC 10/2011, FDA, BfR and ACS. DS 2200-13P is supplied on a pel-letized form and offers outstanding feeding-to-extruder behavior as well as excellent fiber impregnation.DS 2200-13P’s sizing chemistry also requires reduced amount of coupling agents so that parts reach optimum mechanical performances.

Standard packaging for DS 2200-13P chopped strand is 1150 kg polypropylene bag with bottom discharge (1 bag/pallet).

Storage & Handling

Storage

It is recommended to store chopped strand products indoor at room temperature and at a relative humidity of 50% ± 15%. The product should remain in its original packaging, preferably closed. In order to prevent static electricity and humidity problems, the chopped strand material must be conditioned in the working place just prior to use.In case a packaging unit is only partly used, it should be immediately re-sealed.The pallet can be single stacked only.
