HA-5010 SA is suitable for below 10 kva or low voltage cables complying with the standard of IEC 60502 or TCVN 5935.
- Extrusion Condition
3H VINACOM XLPE HA-5010 contains all necessary components. Accordingly no premixing or preheating is required. In case of color master batch should be mixed. 3H VINACOM XLPE HA-5010 provides excellent surface without scorching over a wide temperature range. Recommendable extrusion conditions are as below.

There are various types of machines and screw type, the end users are advised to determine the optimum processing conditions by themselves.
- For preventing long run and procuring (scorch), it must maintain the temperature of feeding zone lowly.
- For producing XLPE cable of good quality, it must keep the temperature after Metering Zone.
- Use a gas flame (torch lamp) in front of extrusion die. If the gas flame is not use then the surface of the cable will be rough.
EXTRUSION EQUIPMENT :
- Extruder :
- Conventional PE/PVC single screw extruder
- L/D: 18/1 - 26/1 (22/1 - 24/1). Compression ratio: 3:1 - 3.5:1
- Screen pack :
- 30/60/30 mesh
- It is better to avoid using a fine screen (>80)
- Gas flame :
- Remove the die drool (die build- up)
- Improve the surface finish
- Reduce shrinkage
- Pressure die :
- Melt comes out of the extruder with the same speed as the passing conductor
- Tube die :
- Has a larger diameter than pressure die
- The smallest possible draw down (2:1) is recommended to avoid internal stresses → minimize shrinkage.
- Die land :
- The longer the die land, the lesser the shrinkage and die swell.
- Allow the extruder to relax and reduce its thermal memory created by the material passing through the die head
