- Product Highlights
- CytoGuard® CDP Ultra is a highly effective, low-cost mold inhibitor and shelf-life extender. It is fermented to produce bacteriocins and a range of organic acids, including propionic acid, which naturally inhibits the growth of yeast and molds in food. CytoGuard CDP Ultra allows for a natural replacement of synthetic preservatives, such as propionates, sorbates, and benzoates.
- CytoGuard CDP Ultra is a natural, clean-label shelf life solution for various food products and can be used to extend the shelf life and safety of foods, such as baked goods, cheeses, meats, sauces, puddings, dressings, dips, and vegan and vegetarian products.
Dairy-Free Cultured Dextrose Advantage
- Cultured dextrose is a natural food ingredient produced through the fermentation of sugars with specific food-grade bacteria to contain organic acids and peptides. Unlike other cultured dextrose products, CytoGuard CDP Ultra is not produced from dairy start cultures, making it a clean-label shelf life extension solution suitable for vegan and vegetarian applications.
- Clean label manufacturers prefer CytoGuard CDP Ultra cultured dextrose as a more natural alternative to chemically synthesized preservatives with the added benefit of "dairy-free" and "gluten-free" labeling. It can be used at very low levels and still effectively inhibit the growth of various microorganisms, including yeast, molds, and other bacteria, and maintain the refreshness and quality of foods.
