AL 160 is a bifunctional organosilane with a reactive epoxide and inorganic methoxysilyl groups that promote adhesion by the ability to chemically bind to inorganic materials and organic polymers.

AL FS-300 hydrophilic fumed silica with its smaller primary particle size makes it more suitable for transparent and semi-transparent systems. AL FS-900 is hydrophilic fumed silica surface treated with dimethyldichlorosilane (DMDS) to make it hydrophobic. Fumed silica’s unique manufacturing process produces a very high purity type of silica with nano size primary particles, a fluffy white powder that is an amorphous and colloidal form of silica. These characteristics impart a wide range of benefits to formulations from thickening and reinforcement to free flow and anti-settling. In addition the treatment imparts added water repellency, corrosion resistance, as well as thickening of complex liquid systems.

AL151 is a clear, colorless, strongly alkaline liquid with smell and being very sensitive to hydrolysis. The chloride content ranges in the lower ppm-level. AL151 is used as adhesion promoter at organic/inorganic interfaces, for modification of surfaces (corrosion prevention, component of primers) or as a moisture crosslinker of silicone polymers. The application as “coupling agent” leads in general to an improvement of mechanical and electrical product properties above all under exposure to heat and/or moisture.
