Applications & Uses

Directions for use

It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. Do not apply this product in a way that will contact workers or other persons, either directly or through drift. Only protected handlers may be in the area during application. For any requirements specific to your State or Tribe, consult the agency responsible for pesticide regulation. Maximum usage when applying both metalaxyl and mefenoxam containing products to the same crop within the same season: Do not apply more than the maximum seasonal total for the active ingredient as stated on the label of the product containing the lowest seasonal total on that crop.

Precautionary Statements

Harmful if swallowed, absorbed through the skin. Causes moderate eye irritation. Harmful if inhaled. Avoid contact with skin, eyes or cloth- ing. Avoid breathing vapors or spray mist.

Personal Protective Eqiupment

Applicators and other handlers must wear:

1. Long-sleeved shirt and long pants

2. Chemical-resistant gloves such as barrier laminate or viton

3. Shoes plus socks

4. Protective eyewear such as goggles, face shield or safety glasses.

Follow manufacturer’s instructions for cleaning/maintaining PPE. If no such instructions for washables exist, use detergent and hot water. Keep and wash PPE separately from other laundry.

User Safety Recommendations

Users should:

  • Wash hands before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco, or using the toilet.
  • Remove clothing/PPE immediately if pesticide gets inside. Then wash thoroughly and put on clean clothing.
  • Remove PPE immediately after hanaling this product. Wash the outside of gloves before removing. As soon as possible, wash thoroughly and change into clean clothing.
Environmental Hazards

Do not apply directly to water, or to areas where surface water is present, or to intertidal areas below the mean high water mark. Apply only as specified on this label. Do not apply when weather conditions favor drift from treated areas. Do not contaminate water when disposing of equipment washwaters or rinsate. This chemical is known to leach through soil into ground water under certain conditions as a result of agricultural use. Use of this chemical in areas where soils are permeable, particularly where the water table is shallow, may result in ground water contamination.

Storage & Handling

Storage and Disposal

Do not contaminate water, food or feed by storage or disposal. Open dumping is prohibited.

PESTICIDE STORAGE: Store at temperatures above 40°F. Crystals may form at lower storage temperatures. If this occurs, place the product in a warm room (68°F or above) and roll or shake the container at frequent intervals until all crystals are dissolved. For minor spills, leaks, etc. follow all precautions indicated on this label and clean-up immediately. Take special care to avoid contamination of equipment and facilities during cleanup procedures and disposal of wastes.

PESTICIDE DISPOSAL: Wastes resulting from the use of this product are toxic. Improper disposal of unused pesticide spray mixture, or rinsate is a violation of Federal law. Pesticide, spray mixture or rinsate that cannot be used according to label instructions must be disposed of according to Federal, State or local procedures. For guidance in proper disposal methods, contact your State Pesticide or Environmental Control Agency, or the Hazardous Waste representative at the nearest EPA Regional office.
