SAYTEX® RB-7980 flame retardant is a blend of SAYTEX RB-79 flame retardant,polyol and a liquid phosphate ester. The mixture of the diester/ether diol of tetrabromophthalic anhydride and phosphate results in a lower viscosity liquid than neat SAYTEX RB-79 flame retardant. Application areas are Reactive diol mixture for rigid polyurethane foams, urethane elastomers and coatings.

SAYTEX RB-7980 flame retardant is a reactive, high-bromine-content diol mixture exhibiting significantly lower viscosity than neat SAYTEX RB-79 flame retardant. Key customer advantages are improved processing and storage characteristic. Lower viscosity at room temperature eliminates the need for heated, insulated storage tanks and drum-heating facilities.

Product Safety and Handling

Avoid prolonged or repeated skin contact. Avoid inhalation of dust or contact with eyes. Protective gloves, chemical-safety goggles and NIOSH-approved dust respirators should be worn where there is a chance of exposure. Wash hands after handling. Smoking and eating should be avoided when handling the product. Under the CERCLA/RCRA regulations currently in effect, this product is not regulated as a hazardous waste or material. Normal handling and disposal procedures in accordance with good industrial practice and any applicable state or local regulations are recommended.
