ACURE™ formulations containing ACURE™ 550-105 are characterized by high cross-link density, good gloss, excellent early hardness development and good chemical and mechanical resistance. The cured film is resilient rather than a brittle period.

ACURE™ paints exhibit long pot lives and tuneable open times. The succinimide in ACURE™ 510-170 is compositionally the same as ACURE™ 510-100. As succinimide is quite difficult to dissolve, ACURE™ 510-170 provides a production-friendly manner of incorporation of succinimide into ACURE™ paints.

ACURE™ 500 is the first generation of blocked catalyst used in ACURE™ systems. ACURE™ systems harness the high reactivity of Michael Addition enabling paint formulators to design 2k coatings with extremely fast dry with uncharacteristically long pot lives. ACURE™ 500 consists of a strong base which is blocked with di-ethyl carbonate. ACURE™ 500 unblocks with the release of alcohol and CO2 and is the key enabler to the provision of fast dry times with long pot lives in ACURE™ coatings. The rate at which ACURE™ 500 unblocks may be controlled by the addition of an alcohol (typically ethanol, n-propanol, or n-butanol) to the ACURE™ coating.
