CYMEL® NF 2000A
CYMEL NF 2000A resin is a unique trifunctional melamine-based crosslinker containing reactive carbamate functionality supplied in n-butanol. It can be used to crosslink hydroxy- and epoxy-containing polymers to give highly durable, acid-resistant films that exhibit a favorable balance of hardness and flexibility. An important feature of CYMEL NF 2000A resin is that it does not contain or emit formaldehyde on cure. It can be employed as the sole crosslinker in a coating or ink formulation, or it may be used at lower levels in combination with other crosslinkers, such as amino resins or isocyanates, in order to obtain a balance of properties. CYMEL NF 2000A resin is recommended for high quality durable finishes such as automotive topcoats, exterior can varnishes, and coil coatings.

CYMEL® 327-70 resin is the diluted resin of CYMEL® 327 resin by butyl cellosolve to 70% solid. The resin chemical structure of CYMEL® 327-70 resin is completely same to CYMEL® 327 resin. CYMEL® 327-70 resin is a methylated high imino melamine crosslinker supplied in iso-butanol. CYMEL® 327-70 resin is very reactive and has a tendency towards self-condensation at normal baking temperatures, providing films with very good hardness, gloss, chemical resistance and outdoor durability. Its major advantage relative to other high imino resins is its potential to lower VOC in high solids formulations.

CYMEL® 1141
CYMEL® 1141 resin is a highly methylated/iso-butylated, carboxy-modified melamine crosslinker supplied in iso-butanol. It is especially designed for electro-deposition primer formulations requiring excellent corrosion and resistance properties. This product contains chelating groups which can form colored compounds with heavy metal ions such as iron and zinc. For that reason it is recommended to use CYMEL® 1141 resin only in dark single coat applications or primers and not in pastel colors.

CYMEL® XW 3106 Resin
CYMEL® XW 3106 resin is a specially alkylated, high solids melamine crosslinking agent designed for solvent-borne, two-pack ambient and low bake formulations. The low temperature cure potential for this crosslinker provides the opportunity to formulate high performance coatings for heat sensitive substrates. These systems have excellent early hardness, resistance properties, appearance and hot/cold cycle flexibility.

CYMEL® UI-27-EI resin is a partially iso-butylated urea resin supplied in a mixture of ethanol and iso-butanol. It is suitable for use in both acid curing wood coating applications and general industrial primer and topcoat formulations. This product is not suitable for exterior applications.

CYMEL® UB-30-B resin is a n-butylated urea crosslinker supplied in n-butanol. Its fast film hardness development combined with excellent adhesion properties makes it suitable for a wide range of industrial baking applications. Because of the limited UV resistance properties of urea resins, this product is not suitable for exterior applications.

CYMEL® UB-24-BX resin is a partially n-butylated urea crosslinker supplied in a mixture of n-butanol and xylene. Its fast reaction speed and film hardness development combined with excellent adhesion properties makes it suitable for industrial primer formulations where electrostatic spray application is required. Because of the limited UV resistance properties of urea resins, this product is not suitable for exterior applications.

CYMEL® U-80 is a highly butylated urea formaldehyde resin with excellent compatibility with most film formers. It is soluble in most solvents and has excellent compatibility with aliphatic hydrocarbons. This product is suitable for a wide range of coating applications including high solids primers for automotive, general industrial, and container coatings providing improved film flexibility and adhesion and to various substrates.

CYMEL® U-663 is a partially isobutylated urea formaldehyde cross-linking agent with a medium degree of alkylation, a medium methylol content, a rather low imino functionality, a medium molecular weight, a medium high reactivity and a medium high viscosity. It is very suitable for acid curing wood coating applications, where low formaldehyde emission and high film gloss is required.

CYMEL® U-216-10LF Resin is an n-butylated urea resin which has excellent compatibility with hydrophobic resins, including epoxies. It is the exempt solvent version of CYMEL® 216-8 resin with the additional benefit of lower free formaldehyde. It was designed for metal deco coatings, can coatings and coil coating primers. This product may also be added as a leveling agent in cold-cure amine catalyzed epoxy resin systems.

It was designed primarily for use in 2 pack ambient cure solvent-borne conversion varnishes for industrial wood. Systems containing this product exhibit superior catalyzed pot life relative to typical urea-based conversion varnishes and require significantly less catalyst to effect cure. The resulting coatings have excellent appearance, early hardness, resistance properties, and hot/cold cycle flexibility.

CYMEL® 659 resin is a partially n-butylated benzoguanamine resin supplied in n-butanol. Like other benzoguanamine resins, this product imparts excellent adhesion and chemical resistance to the coating, but without the need for an external catalyst in the formulation. Because of the limited light resistance properties of benzoguanamine resins, CYMEL® 659 is not suitable for exterior applications.

CYMEL® 370N Resin is a methylated melamine-formaldehyde crosslinking agent with a medium degree of alkylation, a high methylol content and low imino functionality. CYMEL® 370N resin is partially water soluble and has an excellent compatibility with water soluble backbone polymers. The carboxyl functionality of anionic backbone polymers is sufficiently acidic to catalyse the reaction at relatively low temperature curing schedules. This makes CYMEL® 370 resin suitable for a wide range of water borne industrial stoving finishes.

CYMEL® 350 resin is a highly methylated, monomeric melamine resin recommended for use in both waterborne and solvent-borne systems. It has very good water solubility properties which makes it easy to incorporate with excellent stability in emulsion systems, as it remains in the water phase and does not migrate to the polymer phase. It is a very efficient crosslinking agent and is recommended for coil coatings and high solids systems. CYMEL® 350 resin has a slightly slower cure response than other monomeric methylated melamine resins. This provides excellent flow and leveling characteristics and less solvent popping on cure.

While CYMEL® 303 LF resin is insoluble in water, it shows excellent compatibility with water-soluble backbone polymers and provides very good stability in amine-stabilized waterborne formulations.

CYMEL® 251 Resin is a novel melamine-formaldehyde crossliknking agent of the mixed ether class. It possesses a lower level of alkylation then other mixed ethers, thus improving its adaptability to waterbone coating formulations. Waterbone systems based on CYMEL® 251 resin exhibit rapid cure response with improved water resistance compared with coatings based on conventional methylated melamine resins. In addition, coatings containing CYMEL® 251 resin maintain the excellent appearance properties charasteristic of mixed ether crosslinkers.

CYMEL® 250 Resin is a new type of mixalkylated methylated and n-butylated melamine formaldehyde resin with high imino functions. It is designed specifically for automotive coating system and does not require a strong acid catalyst for fast cure response. CYMEL® 250 resin is similar reactivity to conventional n-butylated melamine resin. A formulation by using CYMEL® 250 resin can achieve lower VOC, compared to a formulation by using conventional n-butylated melamine formaldehyde resin.
