Energy-curable, Tin-free, urethane acrylate with ~27% bio-carbon offering and an excellent outdoor durability for clear and pigmented coats. This solvent-free product presents a high reactivity for an effective productivity and brings high hardness after cure with excellent substrate protection.
EBECRYL® 1271 is a difunctional aliphatic urethane acrylate that does not contain any intentionally added organic tin compounds, heavy metals, hydroquinone (HQ) or methyl ether of hydroquinone (MEHQ). (Please note that quinones are present in many raw materials, so the overall quinone content is reduced, but not zero in EBECRYL® 1271.) Films of EBECRYL® 1271 cured by ultraviolet light (UV) or electron beam (EB) exhibit good flexibility, adhesion, abrasion resistance, exterior durability, and are resistant to yellowing.
EBECRYL® P39 is a polymeric benzophenone derivative diluted with 25% of EBECRYL® LEO 10501 that functions as the photosensitizer in hydrogen abstraction type radical photoinitiator systems. EBECRYL® P39 has been designed for use in the formulation of UV coatings that exhibit little or no odor after curing. It has recommended levels are from 8 to 10% based on total formulation. It should be used in combination with amine co-initiators such as EBECRYL® P115 or EBECRYL® 7100. EBECRYL® P39 is recommended for use in over print varnishes where low residual odor is required.
EBECRYL® P 116 is a reactive amine additive used in place of more volatile amine synergists to increase the cure speed of ultraviolet (UV) cured coatings. When EBECRYL P 116 is used in combination with other photoinitiators an increase in cure speed, especially at the surface, can be realized. It is recommended for use in: overprint varnishes, wood fillers and top coats, and clear coatings on paper and plastics.
EBECRYL® IBOA, Isobornyl acrylate, is a high purity, low colour monofunctional diluent monomer which polymerizes when exposed to sources of free radicals. It is a diluent compatible with a wide range of acrylated oligomers used in UV/EB curing applications. Good viscosity reduction and low shrinkage properties make this product useful in a variety of overprint varnishes, inks, and coatings.
EBECRYL® 895 is a multifunctional monomer which polymerizes when exposed to sources of free radicals. It is composed primarily of the pentaacrylate and hexaacrylate esters of dipentaerythritol. EBECRYL 895 is particularly useful in UV (ultraviolet) and EB (electron beam) curable inks and coatings where improved cure response, hardness and scratch/abrasion resistance are required.
EBECRYL® 8896 is a revolutionary aliphatic urethane acrylate designed for application(s) requiring haptic properties (e.g. “soft touch/feel”). Films of EBECRYL®8896 cured via exposure to ultraviolet light (UV) or electron beam (EB) are tough, flexible, and resistant to yellowing. EBECRYL®8896 is compatible with variety of fillers, pigments, waxes, and polymeric beads allowing formulator maximum formulating latitude to create a number of haptic properties ranging from a velvety/silky feel to EBECRYL®8896’s intrinsic rubbery feel. A combination of EBECRYL® 8894 with EBECRYL® 8896 can boost the abrasion resistance of the soft touch binder EBECRYL 8896 without sacrificing the haptic effect
EBECRYL® 8894 is an aliphatic urethane acrylate, diluted in butyl acetate, designed for applications requiring high humidity and abrasion resistance. Films of EBECRYL®8894 cured via exposure to ultraviolet light (UV) or electron beam (EB) exhibit excellent exterior durability, good toughness and flexibility, as well as the non-yellowing properties typical of an aliphatic urethane. A combination of this EBECRYL® 8894 with EBECRYL® 8896 can boost the abrasion resistance of the soft touch binder EBECRYL 8896 without sacrificing the haptic effect
EBECRYL® 884 is an undiluted polyesteracrylate resin. Films of EBECRYL® 884 cured by ultraviolet light (UV) or electron beam (EB) exhibits high flexibility and excellent abrasion resistance. It is recommended for use in: parquet floor applications, furniture coatings, plastic coatings, and resilient flooring.
EBECRYL® 8812 is an aliphatic urethane acrylate that does not contain any intentionally added organic tin compounds, heavy metals*, hydroquinone (HQ) or methyl ether of hydroquinone (MEHQ). Please note that quinones are present in many raw materials, so the overall quinone content is reduced, but not zero in EBECRYL 8812. EBECRYL 8812 is diluted with 10% by weight of the reactive diluent ethoxyethoxyethyl acrylate (EOEOEA). Films of EBECRYL 8812 cured by ultraviolet light (UV) or electron beam (EB) exhibit excellent abrasion resistance, toughness, rapid cure response and resistance to yellowing.
EBECRYL® 880 is a clear liquid low viscous amine modified multifunctional acrylated polyether oligomer generally used as main oligomer in low viscous clear formulations. It has been developed specially for applications where high gloss, fast cure response and a low viscosity (spray) by radiation are desired. It is recommended for use in: clear coatings on paper, wood, plastics, top coats for wood, high gloss coatings, and flexo inks and varnishes.
