- Suggested Uses
Additol VXL 4951 N is preferably used in long-oil and medium-oil, airdrying alkyd resin systems. Especially good results are achieved in wood preservatives, vinyl resin paints, acrylic resin paints, nitrocellulose paints and chlorinated rubber paints.
- Processing Information
Additol VXL 4951 N should be added to the mill base at the beginning of the paint production during pigment dispersion. As the effectiveness of the additive is very high, for a lower dosage a predilution with ketones, esters or aromates should be done.
The recommended quantity is 0.05 - 1 % Additol VXL 4951 N, calculated on paint. An overdosage should be avoided.
When adding to the ready paint sufficient shear velocity is necessary in order to prevent cratering in the paint film.
