The cobalt-free combination drier Additol XW 6533 produces in waterborne alkyd resin paints a good set-drying combined with an even through-drying. Additol XW 6533 contains a balanced metal combination which is necessary for an optimum oxidative drying.

Suggested Uses

Additol XW 6533 may be added as siccative to all waterborne oxidatively drying alkyd resin paints.

Processing Information

Additol XW 6533 may be added undiluted to the resin in form of delivery. In critical systems we recommend to disperse the combination drier with the pigments and fillers. Recommended quantity to be added: 4 - 6 %, calculated on solid resin.

Storage and Handling

At temperatures up to 25 °C storage stability packed in original containers amounts to at least 730 days. When stored at temperatures below 20 °C Additol XW 6533 tends to slight crystallization, which is reversible by heating for 24 hours to 40 °C.
