Distinguishing Features

BECKOPOX™ EP 128 is a resin whose viscosity has been adjusted using a reactive diluent. The important properties of the basic resin BECKOPOX™ EP 140 have been largely retained. Enhanced is the extender/pigment - loading capacity of BECKOPOX™ EP 128, therefore the resin is preferably used for highly filled systems.

Special Properties and Uses

Reactive diluted liquid resin for chemical-resistant coatings, adhesives, concrete injections, trowelling casting and laminating compounds. Hydraulic epoxy mortars (ECC).

Suggested Uses and Processing Information

BECKOPOX™ EP 128 is a solvent-free liquid epoxy resin. The low viscous resin contains a non-volatile reactive diluent.

Depending on choice of curing agent it can be cured at either room or elevated temperatures.

Cured systems show excellent resistance to chemicals, solvents and moisture. The shrinkage of castings is low, such systems show good adhesion and excellent electrical properties.

Major uses are:

  • in the construction field for chemical and abrasion resistant flooring compounds, for sealing and repairing stone and concrete structures
  • anticorrosion/solvent-free coating systems
  • for cold and heat-curing trowelling and adhesive systems
  • in the electrical industry for castings, impregnations and composites
  • for tool-and mold constructions, patterns, models and fixtures

In addition, BECKOPOX™ EP 128 is used for preparing glass-fiber reinforced low-pressure composites and laminated building elements by the hand lay-up method. Curing and processing of the resin mix can be carried out at room or elevated temperatures. The use of vacuum is also possible.
