EBECRYL® 3608 is a fatty acid-modified epoxy acrylate oligomer, diluted with 15% of oligotriacrylate (OTA 480) (1). It stands out for its low odor, light color, low irritancy, excellent pigment wetting properties, and favorable cure response when exposed to ultraviolet light (UV) or an electron beam (EB). This versatile product finds recommendation in a variety of applications, including lithographic and screen inks and coatings, overprint varnishes, coatings on cardboard, chipboard, paper, and rigid plastics, as well as paper upgrading. End uses for EBECRYL® 3608 encompass radiation-curable coatings, gravure ink, varnishes, offset ink, flexography ink, screen printing ink, and lithographic ink. The application methods suitable for this product include curtain coating, gravure coating, lithography, roller application, and screen coating.

Storage and Handling
Care should be taken not to expose radiation curable products to temperatures exceeding 40°C for prolonged periods or to direct sunlight. This might cause uncontrollable polymerization of the product with generation of heat. Storage and handling should be in stainless steel, amber glass, amber polyethylene or baked phenolic lined containers. Do not store this material under an oxygen free atmosphere. Use dry air to displace material removed from the container. This material should not be stored for more than 2 years.
