EBECRYL® 8409 is a low-viscosity aliphatic urethane diacrylate designed for UV- or EB-cured films. It stands out for its ability to impart good flexibility and toughness to the cured coatings. The low viscosity of this oligomer allows for the formulation of coatings with very low viscosity or the enhancement of performance by increasing the oligomer content. Key features include faster cycle time, low temperature-curing, low energy consumption, improved flexibility, and long pot life. Applications for EBECRYL® 8409 span across automotive OEM coatings, other packaging coatings, and inkjet printing, making it a versatile choice for radiation-curable coatings.

Storage & Handling

Storage and Handling
Care should be taken not to expose radiation curable products to temperatures exceeding 40°C for prolonged periods or to direct sunlight. This might cause uncontrollable polymerization of the product with generation of heat. Storage and handling should be in stainless steel, amber glass, amber polyethylene or baked phenolic lined containers. Do not store this material under an oxygen free atmosphere. Use dry air to displace material removed from the container. This material should not be stored for more than 2 years.
