- Recommended Primers
This topcoat is compatible with a wide range of primers. Excellent performance will be obtained when used with any of the AMP-UP™ Series products.
- Surface Preparations
Primer Surface: When applying this product at topcoat on the AMPUP ™ Series products, it is essential to remove all contamination that can affect coating application and interfere with coating adhesion. Inspect the surface of the primer before applying this product and remove dirt, dust, oil, salt, and any other chemical contaminants by washing the surface with a cleaner/degreaser. Mold and mildew areas must be cleaned with a chlorinated cleaner or bleach solution. Rinse thoroughly with fresh water and allow to fully dry. All surfaces must be dry at time of application. Paint solvent should not be used for cleaning or degreasing the primer surface. Verify with technical data sheet and application guide of the AMP-UP™ Series products for overcoatability and the given maximum over-coating interval.
Previously Coated: Previously coated surfaces must be in good condition. Smooth, hard or glossy finishes should be sanded to create a surface profile. To ensure product compatibility, application on a test patch is recommended.
- Equipment Recommendations
Brush: Use a good quality synthetic bristle brush such as Purdy® brush.
Roller: Use a good quality synthetic nap.

Thinner 1 (Fast) or Thinner 2 (Slow)
The choice of correct thinner will give optimum lay down of product and ease of application Depending on temperature and humidity, select the thinner and the degree of thinning. Thinner 1 is recommended for brush and roll applications. Thinner 2 is recommended for spray applications.CLEAN-UP: Use xylenes or MEK after use.
