Standapol® EA-1 is manufactured from mid-cut fatty alcohols containing an average of 1 mole of ethylene oxide by Cognis' exclusive continuous chlorosulfation process. Maximum control of unwanted by-products, including those causing color and odor, is achieved by this process. Absence of by-products allows the formulator widest latitude in selecting and attaining critical performance, fragrance and color objectives. This product can be used to produce clear liquid to gel shampoos, skin cleansers and bath or shower products at typical use levels of 40-80% (equivalent to 10-20% active surfactant).
