TRILON BS is a dry, crystalline powder of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA). As is, TRILON BS is nearly insoluble in water; however, water soluble salts of EDTA can be prepared by adding sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, organic amines and other alkalis. This enables the solubility of TRILON BS to be adjusted to fit the application. TRILON BS and its salts are used where high purity is required.
