PROBIOLIFT™ is a probiotherapy cosmetic ingredient made of millions of live but dormant Lactobacillus crispatus bacteria, which are naturally found on the skin. As skin microbiota diversity changes with age, certain beneficial lactic acid bacteria decrease in mature skin. BASF researchers found that Lactobacillus crispatus is one such bacterium, decreasing in specific skin areas and disappearing from the wrinkle hollows of older individuals. When activated by water on the skin, PROBIOLIFT™ increases dermal density, improves the appearance of forehead wrinkles, and protects skin from oxidative stress. Kolliwax® SA is a white to almost white, wax like-mass supplied as free flowing mirco pearls. On account of its consistency giving characteristics Kolliwax® SA is mainly used for viscosity regulation in pharmaceutical emulsions.

Cutina® AGS is a pearlizing and opacifying agent for cleansing formulations, shampoos, shower and bath preparations, and liquid soaps. It is supplied as a white to slightly yellowish powder, small flakes, or pastilles/pearls and is composed of ethylene glycol distearate.

Lutensol® AO 5 is a nonionic surfactant, approximately 100% active, that is based on C13C15 oxo alcohol with 5 moles of ethylene oxide and consists of ca. 67% C13 and ca. 33% C15. It is a high-performance surfactant with low toxicity. Lutensol® AO 5 offers great emulsification, dispersion, wetting, and compatibilizing properties.

Pluronic® L 35 is a difunctional block copolymer surfactant that terminates in primary hydroxyl groups. It is a nonionic surfactant that is 100% active and relatively nontoxic. Pluronic® L 35 is known for its effectiveness as a dispersant, solubilizer, and emulsifier, and it is readily biodegradable.

Tryfac® 5560-A TDA-6 is a tridecyl alcohol phosphate ester with a polyoxyethylene (POE) value of 6. It possesses an acidic nature and serves as a versatile compound with multiple functions. It acts as a wetter, dispersant, emulsifier, compatibilizer, and performs various other roles as well.

Pluriol® E 1000 LS is a 100% polyethylene glycol with a molecular weight of 1,000. It is commonly used as a thickening agent, suspending agent, and binder. When esterified with fatty acids, it can also function as an emulsifying agent.

Dehydol® LS 4 Deo N is a laureth-4 polymer used as a nonionic emulsifier, suited for the preparation of cosmetic oils and cream baths. It is clear to light turbid in appearance and has a standard odor. It is suitable for use in skin care cleansers, hair care shampoos and conditioners, bath and body products, and other personal care products.

BASF Vibracolor Ruby Red is a cationic direct dye with a low molecular weight. It is available in powder form with traces of lumps. It is a hair dye that is suitable for hair colors, tinting shampoos, conditioners, and other tinting products.

Lutensol® TDA 6 has a wide range of applications, including its use in emulsifier concentrates, emulsions (oil and water), microemulsions, suspension concentrates, suspo-emulsions, soluble liquids, and wettable powders.

Lupasol® G 20 is a water-free polyethylene imine that functions as an adhesion promoter in adhesives, a crosslinker and hardener in epoxy and polyurethane adhesives, and aids in the complexation of heavy metal ions. It is used as a primer for improved adhesion to the substrate for coatings, facilitates the easier dispersion of pigments and provides higher color strength, and enables the immobilization of proteins on inorganic materials.

Sokalan® CP 42 is a scale inhibitor for automatic dish wash detergents, particularly effective agianst Ca-phosphate.
