- Mode of Action
The multifunctionality of ANTIGEL KF is based on the synergistic activity of the components.
1. Viscosity stabilization: The stabilization is based on the oxygen binding properties of the antioxidant. ANTIGEL KF improves flow and through-drying.
2. Wetting and dispersion: The wetting component of ANTIGEL KF reduces the interfacial tension between the usually hydrophilic pigments and the hydrophobic binder. The pigments are well distributed resulting an optimum depth of color. Dispersion time, floatation phenomena and sedimentation are reduced and gloss is increased. Sedimentation is largely avoided. Because of the excellent wetting, optimum depth of color is achieved.- Processing Information
- ANTIGEL KF should be added to the mill base in order to get optimum use of its wetting properties. It is recommended to establish the dosage by preliminary experiment.ANTIGEL KF suited as multifunctional additive but recommended for anti skinning properties and therefore used between 0.1 % and 0.5 % on total formulation while all other benefits will improve your formulation compared to traditional anti skinning additives.

- Storage and Handling
- Keep ANTIGEL KF in a cool, well-ventilated place. Occasionally, slight sediment is formed, which does not adversely affect the quality of ANTIGEL KF. There is no need to stir up the sediment. Subject to appropriate storage, the described properties of ANTIGEL KF remain stable for at least 2 years, provided the original container is closed after use.
