SCHWEGO mar 8305 is suitable for water borne systems such as: air drying alkyd resins, alkyd/melamine combinations, self and foreign crosslinking polyacrylic resins, polyurethanes, nitrocellulose systems, acid curing melamine and urea systems, oil-free polyesters.

The addition of SCHWEGO mar 8305 to solvent based coating systems improves resistance against scratch, mar and blocking. SCHWEGO mar 8305 also improves slip, therefore smooth surface is formed and hence also film hardness is increased. Further compatibility is increased. The tendency to foaming and to dirt retention is reduced and gloss is preserved. SCHWEGO mar 8305 improves as a secondary effect wetting and leveling.

Processing Information
The addition amount of SCHWEGO mar 8305 is 0.02 - 0.30 % calculated on total formulation. SCHWEGO mar 8305 should be added at the beginning of the production. Post addtion is possible, of SCHWEGO mar 8305 is homogeneously distributed. Due to low dosage predilution in one of the solvents of the formulation is recommended. SCHWEGO mar 8305 in comparison to SCHWEGO mar 8301 provides a higher compatibility, e.g. in clear coat formulations with OH-crosslinkable acrylates.

Do not store SCHWEGO mar 8305 at temperatures below 0 °C. Stir it up befor use. Keep it in a cool, well-ventilated place. Subject to appropriate storage, the described properties of SCHWEGO mar 8305 remain stable for at least 12 months, provided the original container is closed after use.
