TEWL Reduction:
The damage created by many common EO (Ethylene Oxide) derived emulsifier to the lipid barrier are well known and they lead to increased TEWL (Trans Epidermal Water Loss) and may create sensitization by emulsifying the epidermal lipid barrier. Cocoyl Glutamate reduces the skin absorption of common EO derived surfactants like SLES and increase skin moisturization.
PCA Precursor:
On the skin enzymes such as Proteases, will release glutamic acid from Cocoyl glutamate; then, a cyclo-transferase will lead to the obtaining of PCA.
PCA is natural moisturizing factor:
- Help reducing Trans Epidermal Water Loss.
- Retain water molecules in the epidermis.
- Naturally found in the skin.
Liquid Crystal Lamellar Structure:
Polybase Crystal is self-emulsifier base with liquid crystal forming properties: The presence of oils and lipids of different polarities or viscosity, even in high percentage, does not cause stability problems. The emulsion viscosity is adjusted by the quantity of emulsifier. Another major property is that it produces emulsions with a liquid crystal structure, leading to a superior stability.
