Mode of Action

PhytoDefense CLRTM is especially developed for the treatment of stressed and sensitive skin with the emphasis on mechanical stress-induced skin redness and one of the most problematic problems to deal with for skin, neurogenic inflammation. In two elaborate in vivo studies on 25 and 33 volunteers, respectively, it was proven that PhytoDefense CLRTM significantly reduces both skin redness, induced by shaving and neurogenic inflammation, induced by the application of lactic acid on the skin.

Recommended Uses

PhytoDefense CLRTM is intended for application in every day care products and cosmetics for sensitive and stressed skin. It can be used in emulsified skin and hair care cosmetic formulations.

Skin tolerance

An O/W cream containing 10% PhytoDefense CLRTM was applied on 50 volunteers (among these 26 individuals with normal skin, 2 sufferers from eczema, 4 allergic and 18 individuals with sensitive skin) for 48 hours in a patch test.
