Applications

Propylene Glycol Industrial Grade is used in a variety of antifreeze applications, including de-icing of aircraft, as a heat transfer fluid in water-based hydronic systems, as an automotive antifreeze, and for winterization of plumbing systems. Propylene is preferred to Ethylene for many antifreeze applications due to it’s low toxicity and environmentally friendliness. It is also used as a feedstock material for production of polymers, as well as many varied applications as a solvent, carrier, intermediate, humectant, preservative, for creating theatrical smoke / fog, and etc. This product is designed for use in industrial applications and should not be used in food and drug applications.
