Coltide Radiance is an innovative biopolymer and an 80% bio-based, sustainable performance additive for fabric conditioners. Coltide HSi combines unique functionalities of substantive wheat proteins and lubricating silicone in an advanced copolymer. In fabric conditioners, Coltide HSi is proven to be effective in improving the ease of ironing. Tests have shown a 23% reduction in friction when Coltide HSi is added to a standard conditioner at 0.25% inclusion level, making it easier to apply the iron to and move the iron over fabric without sticking. The silicone component of Coltide HSi also reduces in-wash creasing and wrinkling by smoothing fibers, By adding wheat protein,Coltide HSi also moisturizes the fabric - this is an additional benefit when compared to standard silicone polymers. Formation of cross linkages on drying helps protect fibers from thermal damage during high heat ironing. This can increase garment lifetime and improve fabric appearance.
