Tests have shown a 23% reduction in kinectic force of friction when Coltide HSi is added to a standard conditioner at 0.25% inclusion level making ironing a breeze. Coltide HSi also acts to reduce in-wash creasing with the benefit of the silicone component being able to reduce wrinkling by smoothing fibers while the wheat protein acts to moisturise the fiber as an additional benefit over standard silicones. Formation of a protective network of cross linkages on drying helps to give protection from thermal damage of fibers associated with high heat ironing which can help to maintain garment lifetime and a better fabric appearance.
