EMULTROL CM-2550 PL is an aqueous dispersion which is based on mineral wax. It is an optimal modification additive at the production of aqueous coatings. EMULTROL CM-2550 PL creates hydrophobic properties in the coatings and films. Due to its chemical structure, coatings which contain EMULTROL CM-2550 PL are still well paintable, printable and can be laminated well. EMULTROL CM2550 PL is also very suitable for the modification of aqueous binding agents at the paper and carton production. At the direct use of EMULTROL CM-2550 PL on already applicated surfaces a very high gloss grade, low sliding properties and high block resistance will be achieved on the surfaces. The water resistance e.g. at paper and cartons will be considerably improved. EMULTROL CM-2550 PL has food law approval is therefore suitable for the use in the food industry.

EMULTROL CM-2550 PL is added to the aqueous dispersion and binding agent systems. The additional quantity depends on the application area in the aqueous systems and is normally between 0,5-3%. EMULTROL CM-2550 PL can be applied directly at the paper manufacturing process or at the production of cardboards. Best after the drying process was carried out at the production. By the optimal particle size of the emulsion, very good wetting and very good impregnation are produced on the surfaces. EMULTROL CM-2550 PL is also applicable for the treatment of already printed paper and cardboard surfaces. By this the wear resistance as well as higher water resistance will be achieved on the surfaces. The wax emulsion is also very suitable for the wood impregnation, wood coating materials etc., which shall penetrate deeply in the material and conversely a water penetration can be prevented after the coating.

Compatibility

EMULTROL CM-2550 PL is well compatible with the most aqueous dispersions and binding agent systems. In order to achieve an optimal compatibility the pH area has to be adjusted. The compatibility with other additives and fillers is also given well.

This product needs no labeling according to the current regulations for dangerous goods and to the EG guide lines.

Precautions

Do not store outdoors. Aqueous product. Protect from frost to avoid irreversible damages. Keep in sealed containers at temperatures between 15°C and 35°C. Before the opening of the containers, stir them well. At a longer storage time a slight separation may occur. The usual precautions for chemicals should be taken for its handling and its transport.
