DELTA- FC 1501 is a silicone-free cost effective defoamer based on a mixture of mineral oils and hydrophobic components in hydrocarbon carrier. DELTA- FC® 1501 is characterized by having a long-lasting defoaming effect in different synthetic latex and emulsion systems based on styrene-butadiene,
acrylic and polyvinyl acetate. DELTA- FC® 1501 controls the foaming tendency of surfactants in water based coatings and ink formulations (mill-base and let-down) without affecting the final film properties. DELTA- FC® 1501 has good storage stability with low tendency to sedimentation over time. Due to its high incompatibility, which makes it strong in defoaming, the influence of DELTA- FC® 1501 upon the transparency of clear or non-pigmented systems must be evaluated. It can be added at any stage of manufacture. For effective foam destabilization, it is advisable though to add a part of the dosage of DELTA- FC® 1501 prior to processing and a part during the let-down stage. 0.1-1.0% on total formulation weight

Storage & Handling

DELTA-FC® 1501 should be stored in a cool dry place. When kept in an original unopened container, it will keep up to 1 year from the date of manufacture. The production date is indicated on the container. Stir well before use as a slight sedimentation may occur after long storage time but this does not have any influence on the product performance.
