Luna-ACMO has been used for UV and EB curable resins (primarily inks and coatings). It has been found that ACMO displays similar properties as other reactive diluent monomers, such as N-vinyl pirrolidone (NVP), but exceeds them in performance and safety. Luna-ACMO is used as a reactive diluent monomer for UV, EB curable resins in radicalic systems. Luna-ACMO has good compatibility with oligomers, multi-functional acrylates, and resin components having a quicker hardening speed in the polymerization process than Isobornyl Acrylate and Phenoxyethyl Acrylate. Luna-ACMO provides UV, EB curable resins made with a low hygroscopicity and good resistance to alkali, acids, and solvents. Moreover it has a nitrogen radical, which prevents generation of ozone inhibiting polymerization. This product is available in Europe, Asia and North America.
