BETAMATE® 1480-224 is a one-component, heat-curing, epoxy-based adhesive especially developed for the body shop. It is capable of bonding oily galvanized, cold-rolled steel, and aluminum. BETAMATE® 1480-224 has excellent adhesion to automotive steels (including coated steels and pretreated aluminum with good tolerance to oily and dry lubes). BETAMATE® 1480-224 helps to increase the stiffness and the crash stability of the entire car body with high durability of the adhesive and adhesive bond and corrosion protection due to its sealing capability. It is compatible with other mechanical and thermal joining techniques, compatible with the e-coat process and precurable with an open time up to six weeks when bonded. Typical applications include bonding of the vehicle body structure and closure hem flange applications.

BETAMATE® 1726LWR is a one-part, high performance, heat-curing, expandable, toughened epoxy reinforcer especially developed for the body shop. BETAMATE® 1726LWR is optimized for areas sensitive to bond line read through (BLRT). It is capable of bonding oily galvanized steel and aluminum. BETAMATE® 1726LWR exhibits robust adhesion to oily aluminum and steel substrates and compensates for metal separation during thermal loads. It shows enhanced toughness performance with nominal expansion of 150% of its initial volume when exposed to body shop bake temperatures and is optimized to address read-through on class A surfaces.
