Itcan be incorporated into the dispersion/colorant or the base system. An addition of 0.5 to 3% based upon total weight of the base system or dispersion can significantly improve color acceptance, and minimize or even eliminate flooding and floating. Dispersions formulated using SUPERSPERSE® EM-40 are compatible with the following paint systems:

  • Alkyds and monomer modified alkyds
  • Oil and alkyd modified polyurethanes
  • Styrenated alkyds
  • 2K Epoxies and epoxy ester
  • Chlorinated rubber
  • Water-reducible alkyds, polyesters and acrylics
  • Acrylic emulsions
  • PVA emulsions
  • PUD

Recommended Usage Levels
  • Recommended Usage Levels:When used as a grinding vehicle, SUPERSPERSE®EM-40 can be diluted 1:1 with a suitable organic solvent. The average pigment concentration attainable in the dilution is approximately 20% for organic pigments and 70% for inorganic pigments.
