Velate 262 is a clear organic liquid which is useful as a coalescing aid for water borne coatings. It is useful as a specialty plasticizer in some coatings applications. Velate 262 is low in viscosity and is moderately volatile when compared to a primary plasticizer with higher molecular weight and higher boiling point.

Vantex™ T is available as a colorless to light yellow liquid with a slight amine-like odor. This pioneering amine additive is changing the world of paints and coatings by enabling environmentally friendly, low-odor, low VOC formulations. Vantex™ T is a neutralization amine additive that will allow paint manufacturers to formulate high quality paints, having virtually no amine odor. The product has a very low vapor pressure, with virtually no odor. It can be used as a replacement for current paint neutralization systems. VOC contribution is dependent on region and test method. In the U.S., testing by EPA Method 24 shows that this product does not contribute to the VOC content. However, ASTM D6886 with methyl palmitate as the GC marker shows that it is a VOC. In Europe, this product is not considered a VOC by article 5 of EU directive 2004/42/EC due to the boiling point being above 250°C.

Tenite™ cellulosic plastics are noted for their excellent balance of properties – toughness, hardness, strength, surface gloss, clarity and warm feel. The mechanical properties of Tenite™ cellulosic plastics differ with plasticizer levels. Lower plasticizer content yields a harder surface, higher heat resistance, greater rigidity, higher tensile strength, and better dimensional stability. Higher plasticizer content increases impact strength. Tenite™ cellulosic plastics are available in natural, clear, selected ambers or smoke transparents and black translucent. Color concentrates are available in let-down ratios from 10:1 to 40:1. Tenite™ Cellulose Acetate Propionate 380-18 has a plasticizer level of 18%. It is resistant to high processing temperatures.
Regalite™ UltraPure 7100
Regalite™ UltraPure 7100 hydrocarbon resin is a partially hydrogenated water-white thermoplastic resin with low targeted volatiles after aging, low odor, and low, stable amount of substances of interest as a function of aging temperature. Regalite UltraPure 7100 has improved color stability compared to the heritage grade with the same aromatic content and softening point. Like Regalite R7100, the unique balance of aliphatic-aromatic properties of the resin makes it an excellent tackifier in hot melt adhesives based on SBS block copolymers, providing excellent color retention upon aging.
Regalite™ UltraPure 5100
Regalite™ UltraPure 5100 hydrocarbon resin is a unique partially hydrogenated water-white thermoplastic resin with low targeted volatiles after aging, low odor, and low, stable amount of substances of interest as a function of aging temperature. Regalite UltraPure 5100 hydrocarbon resin has improved color stability compared to the heritage grade with the same aromatic content and softening point. Like Regalite S5100 hydrocarbon resin, this resin is an excellent tackifier in hot melt adhesives based on SIS and SBS block copolymers, where it provides superior room temperature cohesion combined with very low adhesive viscosity.

Regalite™ UltraPure 1100 hydrocarbon resin is a low molecular weight fully hydrogenated water-white thermoplastic resin with low targeted volatiles after aging, low odor, and low, stable amount of substances of interest as a function of aging temperature. Regalite UltraPure 1100 hydrocarbon resin has improved color stability compared to the heritage grade with the same aromatic content and softening point. Like Regalite R1100 hydrocarbon resin, this resin has excellent compatibility in a wide range of polymers and is an excellent tackifier in hot melts requiring good color retention upon aging.

Permalyn™ 5110-C synthetic resin is the pentaerythritol ester of gum rosin. It is produced by a special process that yields a low odor, low acid number resin. It is suggested for use as a modifier for film-formers, elastomers, and waxes in various adhesives and protective coatings where pale color and minimal odor are required.
Pentalyn™ 380-M resin is a phenol free maleic modified rosin ester, which offers very low viscosity and high solubility in mineral oils. It exhibits low structured visco-elastic properties. Pentalyn™ 380-M offers very fast anchorage, which makes it ideal for lithograph or offset Inks in Quick-Set systems or as a modifying resin in Heat-Set, Flushing, low odor varnishes and overprint varnishes.
Eastman™ N-Propyl Alcohol (N-Propanol)
Eastman™ n-Propanol (n-propyl alcohol), a three-carbon straight chain oxo alcohol, is a medium boiling, colorless liquid that is widely used in flexographic and other printing ink applications. It has a very mild odor, similar to that of ethanol and is completely soluble in water. It is useful in organic synthesis, as a chemical intermediate, and as a coating solvent. Eastman™ n-Propanol helps balance the drying and flow characteristics in a variety of surface coating applications. The chemical substances for this product are listed as Inert Ingredients Permitted for Use in Nonfood Use Pesticide Products, and in Food Use Pesticide Products with limitations, under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA). Eastman NPG™ glycol is the industry standard glycol component in high-quality polyester resins for industrial coatings and fiberglass-reinforced plastics applications. Most polyester resin formulations contain NPG as the sole glycol component, or it is used in conjunction with a modifying glycol to achieve desired properties.
Eastman Effusion™ plasticizer is a high solvating non-phthalate plasticizer that provides lower plastisol viscosity, excellent low temperature flexibility, and fusion rates similar to typical high solvating plasticizers in vinyl formulations. As a non-phthalate plasticizer for waterborne adhesives, it lowers the systems Tg and provides comparable viscosity response to currently used plasticizers.
DRESINATE™ Rosin Soaps
Dresinate ™ rosin soap is derived from tall oil and/or tall oil rosin. Dresinate TX is processed into a dry powder for ease in handling, storage, and shipping. In addition to being used in admixtures for concrete, stucco, and mortar, Dresinate rosin soap can also be used as an emulsifier and dispersant for asphalt, oils, and pigments; as highly built alkaline metal cleaners and industrial cleaners; as conditioners for sulfur dust; and as stabilizers for synthetic rubbers produced via emulsion polymerization.

ADVANTEX™ Neutralizing Amine Additive
Advantex multifunctional neutralizing amine enables a variety of benefits to architectural coatings, including superb pigment dispersion, excellent emulsion stability, and outstanding syneresis control. Formulating paints with Advantex instead of ammonia can save money. Internal tests show that formulating with Advantex allows for the development of lower odor, lower-VOC paints that can contain up to 75% less propylene glycol, 50% less surfactant, 40% less de-foamer and up to half as much dispersant than a comparable formulation with ammonia. Additionally, Advantex offers a unique level of protection against flash rust, when compared to other amine additives. The ideal film-forming properties of Advantex allow for enhanced corrosion protection.
