Features & Benefits

+
Product Highlights
  • For use in coatings: semipermeable, excellent film former, strong, flexible
  • Characteristics of coating can be modified (permeability,
mechanical strength, flexibility) through blending two CAs or CA with CAB.
  • For use in tableting directly compressible, matrix for sustained release
  • CAB is more hydrophobic than CA.
  • Requires a solvent for coatings formulations
  • Modify a wide range of film properties through additives
  • Adjust sustained release by blending CA with CAB
  • Acetyl Content in CA-398-10 NF/EP polymer is in range of 39.3%-40.3%
  • Permeability of coating film increases with decrease in acetyl content.

Storage & Handling

+
Storage and Handling
  • Eastman cellulose esters are packed and sealed in fiber drums equipped with a polyethylene inner liner and reusable metal closure.
  • These containers should be sealed and protected from moisture or high humidity for extended periods.
  • Drums held in cool, dry storage should be brought to room temperature before opening to prevent condensation of moisture on inside surfaces.
