Eastman Cellulose Acetate Propionate CAP-482-0.5 is a low-odor, free-flowing powder. It is especially adaptable for use in printing inks and clear overprint varnishes because of its wide solubility in ink solvents, compatibility with other resins used in printing inks, and high melting point. Films formed from Eastman CAP-482-0.5 have fast solvent release, excellent antiblocking properties, and grease resistance superior to that of other film-formers. Its solubility and hardness make CAP-482-0.5 an excellent resin for nail lacquer topcoats. It is often used in combination with Eastman CAP-482-20 to optimize the formulation viscosity. When dissolved in appropriate solvents selected for CAP-482-0.5, a clear, colorless solution is produced. Eastman CAP-482-0.5 is lawful for use in certain food-contact applications subject to the food additive regulations of the FDA.

Eastman AQ ™polymers differ chiefly in glass transition temperature (Tg) or softening point. As indicated by the number in the product name, Eastman AQ 38S polymer has a Tg of about 38°C. The "S" indicates AQ 38S is supplied as solid pellets. Eastman AQ linear polyesters serve as film formers in numerous cosmetic and personal care applications. Because of its low Tg, Eastman AQ™ 38S forms flexible films on the skin. It imparts a smooth feel to creams, lotions, and sprays and adheres to the skin. Thus, it is useful as a film-former in sunscreen products, providing excellent water resistance. AQ 38 is added to the water phase and aids the emulsification of oil-phase UV absorbers. AQ 38 provides improved coverage for sprayable sunscreens.

Eastman AQ™ 1950 Copolyester is a medium molecular weight branched sulfopolyester. It is a light-colored semi-solid with a characteristics odor. Eastman AQ™ 1950 is completely dispersible is water at nonvolatile levels up to 30% without the use of any surfactants or additives. Eastman AQ™ polymers are compatible with some of the commonly used tackifiers and plasticizers used in adhesive compounding. This sulfopolyester has utility in repulpable, aqueous or hot-melt adhesive applications.

This product is repulpable under neutral and alkaline conditions, has excellent adhesion to polyolefin substrates, 100% water-dispersible and is ideal for application in hot melt adhesives.

Eastman AQ™ 2350 Copolyester is an odorless water-dispersible sulfopolyester incorporated as a base polymer raw material for water-dispersible hot melt adhesives. This product is inherently water-dispersible due to the random incorporation of 5-sodiosulfoisophthalate units within the polymer backbone. AQ 2350 is compatible with hydrophobic polar tackifies, glycol containing oils which allows for a variety of hot melt adhesives to be formulated. Key attributes include good adhesive performance characteristics, readily dispersible and is approved for indirect Food Contact applications. Suggested end use applications include non-woven "flushable" assemblies, recyclable packaging and pressures sensitive products.

Eastar™ copolyester MB002 has been tested for FDA/ISO 10993 and USP Class VI Biological Evaluation testing after Gamma and EtO sterilization. Pamolyn™ 100 Oleic Acid is an exceptionally high purity grade of oleic acid derived wholly from a tall oil fatty acid source. It is a low odor, essentially water white, low titer, oily liquid. Pamolyn™ 100 Oleic Acid is a unique commercial fatty acid in that it contains, typically, 90% oleic acid, all of which is in the naturally occurring cis-isomer form. Because Pamolyn™ 100 Oleic Acid contains only a low percentage of polyunsaturated acids, it has excellent oxidation resistance and color stability. Saturated fatty acids and unsaponifiables in Pamolyn™ 100 Oleic Acid are also outstandingly low. Pamolyn™ 100 is used in numerous cosmetic and personal care applications, functioning as an emulsifier or surfactant.
