Aqualatus
  • Aqualatus is made using a unique tri-block co-polymer which creates a lattice of connecting micelles which have a hydrophilic head and a hydrophobic tail.
  • The micelles act as a microscopic bridge to increase the adherence between the soil particles and water. This slows the vertical movement of applied water allowing greater lateral movement which helps to optimize soil moisture levels.
  • Aqualatus is non-ionic. Non-ionic surfactants are the most suitable for soil application as charged surfactants react with other ions in the root zone causing precipitates to form. Non-ionic surfactants, importantly, work well in both acidic and alkali environments and have low toxicity making them safe to use in all soils and growing media.
  • Aqualatus also contains 19% Gluco-ethers which are plant sugars designed to aid nutrient uptake by enhancing microbial activity in the rhizosphere to increase availability of nutrients and their utilization by the roots.

Use

MAXIMIZE THE EFFECTS OF YOUR NUTRIENT INPUTS

Treating soils and growing media with Aqualatus will improve water and nutrient distribution and utilization. Aqualatus does this by expanding the root zone wetted area where larger, healthier root systems can develop to access greater levels of nutrients which result in quality/yield benefits.

Conservation of water - Studies show Aqualatus can reduce irrigation water volume by up to 40% while maintaining yields equal to 100% water volume. This is vitally important in periods of low water availability and reduces irrigation energy costs. Less water equals less energy to move the water.

Initial application: 1.2 liters/ha either injected in 1000-2000 liters of water or blended into liquid fertilizer dedicated to that hectare of production. Subsequent applications at 0.6 liters/ha per month either injected or blended with liquid fertilizer regardless of the volume of fertilizer being fed. For example: If you feed every other day in a given month, divide 1.2 liters/ha in the block and divide that by 15 days of feeding giving you the amount of Aqualatus per feeding cycle. Additional applications may be needed for extremely hydrophobic rootzones. Aqualatus can also be used as a drench for transplanting by adding 2.5 - 5.0 liters per 4500 liters of drench solution.

Application Methods: Drip, center pivot, overhead irrigation and boom sprayer.

Recommended method: Blended with liquid fertilizer and applied via irrigation system. For aiding agrochemical application apply Aqualatus 24 hours before pesticide/fumigant application as Aqualatus is not an adjuvant.

Application Rates and Use
Open field If applied using overhead irrigation, boom sprayer or drench, then initial applications of Aqualatus should be applied at 1.2 liters/ha regardless of the volume of fertilizer applied. Optimal distribution will be attained in 900-1800 liters of water. Any subsequent applications should be applied at 0.6 liters/ha at monthly intervals.
Injected or blended with fertilizer Initial application should be at 1.2 liters/ha, added to stock mix, dosed within normal feed regime parameters. Subsequent applications should be given at monthly intervals at 0.6 liters/ha.
Application to aid efficacy of root applied beneficial nematodes Regular use of Aqualatus at the standard injection rates above will achieve optimal moisture levels for increased beneficial nematode mobility. If however Aqualatus is not regularly employed the addition at 1.2 liters/ha (0.6mls per liter) will provide increased moisture levels to allow maximum distribution of nematodes
Drench application for hydrophobic conditions For single drench application to soils or growing media, such as large containers a 0.25% - 0.5% solution is recommended. In the case of extreme dry conditions or for use in hydrophobic soils or growing substrates additional applications may be used.

Aqualatus is safe to mix with any nutrient in single or multi-elemental form.
