About Us

Sustainable Ingredients From A Biodiversity Hotspot

Forestwise is a company registered in The Netherlands (2018) but our heart, as well as our factory, lies in Borneo. Forestwise's wild-harvest approach prevents deforestation by increasing the economic value of the remaining rainforest, conserving wildlife and empowering local communities to create income while conserving their habitat.

We call this #RainforestValue.

We provide companies like yours better sourcing opportunities that are fully traceable, enabling them to make specific product claims - for example bio-diversification, organic, fair trade, contribution to forest conservation, etc.

Forestwise is dedicated to creating #RainforestValue in order to sustain the rainforests of Borneo. Our mission is to #StopDeforestation and create #RainforestValue by developing a market for valuable ingredients from the rainforest and empower local people to protect the remaining forest.

By helping to maintain the wild rainforest, we also conserve wildlife, generate employment and income for local inhabitants, and safeguard fresh water, fresh air and fertile soils. all this gives forest communities a sound incentive for continuing to protect it.

The processing methods of illipe butter from PT Forestwise Wild Keepers are certified by Ecocert with the Fair for Life, NOP Organic and EOS Organic certificates. Forestwise in the Netherlands is also certified Fair for Life by Ecocert and certified EOS Organic by SKAL.
