The product is obtained from organic solvent extraction of fresh Lavender flowers from Lavandula angustifolia. The solvents used for the extraction are either hexane or petroleum ether. The solvent is being removed through vacuum processing Bulgarian lavender concrete is ready to use perfumery ingredient. It contains the hydrocarbon-soluble material, leaving out water and water-extractive material. It is solid, Waxy non-crystalline mass. It contains large amounts of alcohol-soluble material known as an absolute when the concrete is extracted with alcohol, Consistency can range from waxy solid to viscous liquid. odor quality is strongly lavender, sweet-herbaceous with persistent tenaciousness and hay-like undertones. It is herbaceous-sweet, hay-like and retains top note qualities. It is yellow-green in color and the fragrance is long lasting.
