Cross-linking Acrylic for Salt Fog and Solvent Resistant Coating using Melamine and PTSA
Ottopol 510-28 67.0 Ineos Resimene 2608 3.3 Water 25.5 Cycat 40:40 1.6 Water 2.2 Aqua Ammonia 19% 0.4 Procedure: Pre-mix components 1, 2, & 3 in suitable container with agitation. Pre-mix component 4, 5, & 6, slight exthotherm will occur. Pour 4, 5, & 6 pre-mix into 1, 2, & 3 pre-mix.
Coating must reach 220 degrees F to initiate cross-linking. The coating will continue to crosslink at ambient temperature for the next six days.
