Ottopol SX-50 is a self-crosslinking acrylic emulsion with good adhesion to non-porous surfaces. This product has alkali resistance and exceptionally good adhesion to plastic films, foils, and other metallic surfaces. Due to the internal cross-linking mechanism, it also has improved block and scuff resistance.

Features & Benefits

Product Highlights

Alkali Resistance

The dry resin is resistant to alkali with the use of an internal cross-linking mechanism. Inks and coatings will not be effected by the high pH of the detergent cleaner. The polymer will exhibit resistance to solvents, such as diluted alcohol solutions.

Adhesion to Substrates

Inks and coatings have exceptionally good adhesion to vinyl and other non-porous substrates that require a hard film.

Block and Scuff Resistance

Due to internally cross-linked mechanism block resistance and scuff is improved over conventional vehicles .

Improved Flow, Leveling & Open Time

The SX-50 provides excellent resolubility properties for flexo and gravure printing applications. The flow and leveling characteristics will provide a high gloss finish. The resin provides non-curling properties on paper.
