WONDERWET™ IV is a water-soluble acrylic polymer resin designed to retard the drying rate of any water-based paint, printing ink, or adhesive. It is particularly effective in improving the wet edge or open time of low- and zero-VOC flat and non-flat paints and coatings when glycols and other solvents have been replaced or reduced. This product will improve the flow, leveling, and appearance of a given paint.

Ottopol SX-30 is a self-crosslinking acrylic emulsion for flexo or gravure printed films. This translucent emulsion polymer exhibits resistance to alkalis and solvents, such as diluted alcohol solutions. It has excellent adhesion to substrates and provides excellent resolubility properties when applied.

Ottopol K-633 is a low-molecular-weight cationic acrylic resin solution. It provides alkali resistance and adhesion to non-porous substrates with improved solubility. This product is suitable for use as a grinding vehicle for organic and inorganic pigments. Pigment concentrates can be let down with these resins to produce printing inks and coatings.

Ottopol KX-99 is a hydroxyl-functional cationic acrylic solution polymer that crosslinks with polyisocyanates and epoxy silanes at room temperature. With the combination of polyisocyanate and epoxy silane, the fastest and most resistant coating can be formulated. We recommend a maximum of 20% epoxy silane and 20% polyisocyanate based on solids. This product undergoes ambient curing very quickly, and in less than one hour the film will have water resistance. Allowing the film to cure for two hours will result in a film that has over 100 double rubs of acetone resistance. Detergents and cleaners will not remove this film, and the final dried film resists staining.

Ottopol 1320 is a medium-hard, tough, all-anionic acrylic emulsion with outstanding chemical, abrasion, and wear resistance. The built-in crosslinker provides chemical resistance properties approaching PUD performance. It is also alkali-tolerant and retards the efflorescence of terrazzo and masonry. This product can be used in traffic paint and other exterior applications.

Ottopol SX-75 is a self-crosslinking acrylic emulsion with good gloss for flexo and gravure printing. This product has alkali resistance and exceptionally good adhesion to vinyl and other non-porous substrates. Due to the internal cross-linking mechanism, it also has improved block and scuff resistance.

Ottopol 151 is an anionic acrylic emulsion with a low glass transition temperature of -25°C. It showed excellent water resistance after a 4 hour ambient cure of a wet, 25 mil thick film. This product is mainly used for elastomeric roof coatings.

Ottopol M-49 is an emulsion polymer with excellent adhesion properties. It has been neutralized with dimethylethanolamine, which yields excellent pigment wetting. The exclusion of ammonia and neutralization with DMEA do not promote the tarnishing of metallic pigments. This product has been proven to have good aging stability and compatibility with additives and other resin systems.

Ottopol S-75 is a film-forming acrylic emulsion polymer that is suitable for inks and coatings on paper and board. This product has good adhesion to vinyl and other non-porous substrates that require a hard film. It also provides excellent resolubility properties, a high-gloss finish, and non-curling properties.

Ottopol 300 is a flexible, 100% anionic acrylic emulsion polymer with excellent film-forming properties and resistance to grain cracking and flaking when applied over bare wood. This product also exhibits superior tint retention when compared to other conventional acrylic polymers.

Ottopol S-100 is a non-film-forming emulsion polymer for glossy flexo and gravure inks. This product has exceptionally good adhesion to vinyl and other non-porous substrates and provides non-curling properties. It has improved flow and leveling characteristics, which provide a high gloss finish.

Ottopol SX-100 is a self-crosslinking acrylic emulsion for alkali resistance. This product has exceptionally good adhesion to substrates and is non-film-forming for glossy flexo and gravure inks. Due to the internal cross-linking mechanism, it also has improved block and scuff resistance.

Ottopol M-30 is the DMEA-cut version of Ottopol 25-50E. This acrylic resin solution is an ink vehicle suitable for and compatible with metallic and fluorescent inks. It has minimal soft settling of the metallic powder, no tarnishing, and no pH swing.

Ottopol SF-49 is a self-crosslinking acrylic emulsion that can be formulated into a corrosion-resistant primer or semi-gloss paint. The dry film has outstanding water resistance and will not blush even after prolonged exposure to water.

Ottopol KO is a cationic styrene/acrylic emulsion. This co-polymer is the latest in stain-blocking technology. It blocks tannin oils, stains on drywall, water stains from concrete blocks in basements, and fungal growth in damp or humid environments. The products made from this polymer display excellent adhesion to a variety of surfaces.

Ottopol 1960 is an anionic acrylic emulsion used as a high-solids binder. It exhibits excellent adhesion to metal, plastic, and masonry substrates and provides built-in flash rust protection. This product is suitable for high-performance sealants, patching compounds, contact adhesives, and coating formulations.

Ottopol K-66 is a hard cationic acrylic emulsion for alkali resistance. Non-ionic pigment concentrates can be let down with this product to produce printing inks and coatings. A clear coating or overlay varnish may be formulated as well. To aid in film formation, a coalescent solvent such as Texanol can be added.

Ottopol 502 is a non-ionic acrylic emulsion designed to increase the blocking of ordinary systems. This hard, non-film forming polymer improves the resistance properties of a standard ink or coating and has excellent compatibility with a wide range of resins.

Gellner Wonderblock is a new binder technology for waterborne stain-blocking primers. This product forms a resistant barrier to water-soluble tannins and prevents topcoats from staining. The polymer backbone discovered by our research chemists is resistant to tannin and nicotine stains. It forms an impenetrable barrier that outperforms all other attempts at solving the bleeding of stains.

Ottopol K-12T is a cationic acrylic emulsion that is used as a rust-converting primer. It converts the rust of the coating application to a black iron oxide barrier, which can be further top-coated with water- or solvent-based paints. This product does not contain tannic acid, oxime chelates, phosphates, or phosphoric acid.

Ottopol S-50 is an acrylic emulsion polymer with good adhesion to vinyl and other non-porous surfaces. It provides excellent resolubility properties for flexo and gravure printing applications, and the flow and leveling characteristics provide a high gloss finish. This resin also has non-curling properties.

Ottopol SX-50 is a self-crosslinking acrylic emulsion with good adhesion to non-porous surfaces. This product has alkali resistance and exceptionally good adhesion to plastic films, foils, and other metallic surfaces. Due to the internal cross-linking mechanism, it also has improved block and scuff resistance.

Ottopol K-65 is a hard cationic acrylic emulsion for alkali resistance. This product has exceptionally good adhesion to plastic films, foils, and other metallic surfaces. Additionally, when this product is formulated with Ottopol K-633, it has improved flow, leveling, and open time when compared to Ottopol K-362.

Ottopol 523 is a hard acrylic emulsion with hydroxyl functionality. This functionality allows crosslinks with melamine and isocyanates for excellent solvent resistance. Formulations using aziridine will require a plasticizer or coalescent solvent to aid in the film formation of the dried coating. The use of aziridine will result in a short pot life and will cross-link at room temperature. Formulations using melamine and PTSA (Para-Toluene Sulfonic Acid) are stable for a minimum of thirty days. The starting formulation requires a web temperature of 180°F to activate the cross-linking of the resins. An increase in PTSA will lower the temperature required to activate cross-linking, but larger amounts of PTSA will increase the hardness of the dry film. There are no plasticizers or coalescent aids required for film formation when using a melamine resin with this product.

Ottopol SF-42 is an anionic acrylic emulsion that is compatible with water-reducible alkyds. This chemical is recommended for use as a binder or coating.

Ottopol 510-28 is an anionic hydroxyl functional acrylic solution polymer that crosslinks with melamine and isocyanates. This product has excellent salt, fog, and solvent resistance.

Ottopol CS-58 is an anionic acrylic emulsion that is used as a binder for house paints and pigment dispersions.

Ottopol S-30 is an acrylic emulsion with a low glass transition temperature of -20°C. It is used for adhesion to plastic films, vinyl, and other non-porous substrates that require a hard film. This product is suitable for flexo or gravure printing applications.

Ottopol 1450 is a hard-modified anionic acrylic emulsion with abrasion and wear resistance. This product has good UV resistance, chemical resistance, and resistance to blush. It has outstanding compatibility with urethane emulsions, providing essentially water-clear blends. It is used as wood finishes and cement sealers.

Ottopol G-35 is an acrylic resin solution with an acid number of 200. It is suitable as a grinding vehicle and imparts excellent flow and levelling to inks and varnishes. This product provides superior printing qualities, good pigment wetting, and excellent gloss.

Belonging to the Ottopol 25 Series, it is specifically designed for use as a grinding and letdown vehicle for water-based rotogravure and flexographic inks. It provides high gloss and excellent press stability. Ink and coating makers will benefit from the versatility of this series as a sole binder or component of high-gloss inks and overlay varnishes. These polymers are derived from the same monomer composition, and the dry resin is identical throughout the series.
