Applications

Bisomer® TEGDMA is a low viscosity aliphatic dimethacrylate monomer ideal as a co-monomer for improving hardness and mechanical properties in plastics, polyolefins, adhesives and sealants. It is especially used to improve mechanical properties of unsaturated polyesters and acrylic polymers such as acrylic sheet and acrylic flooring. Bisomer® TEGDMA is an excellent reactive diluent in peroxide curable formulations due to its low viscosity and ease of handling. It is non-toxic, nonsensitising and non-irritating. It is ideal in dibenzoyl peroxide (BPO) cured applications and excellent for use in the production of UV cured photopolymers such as flexographic printing plates. It is widely used in photopolymers, wire and cable coatings, adhesives and sealants. Bisomer® TEGDMA offers excellent compatibility with unsaturated polyesters for chemical fixings and anchor bolts.
